Easy Crock Pot recipes-Crock Pot Chili

Crock-pot Cook Gets a bad rap sometimes. Some people call it too lazy to cook. I call it efficient kitchen. With most households with two adults, it is imperative that all non-family time is managed wisely. Many recipes for crock-pot take only 5-10 minutes to prepare. It can be placed in the pot before work and be made when you return home. When you open the door, you will feel the wonderful aroma of a home cooked meal wafting through your home.

Chili recipes are perfect for the crock-pot. They normally Cook in a pan, are easy to prepare and delicious smell when cooking. The great thing about chili is as easily can be changed and adapted to your liking. Here are some of my quick and easy-to-make crock-pot Chili Recipes.

TeXMex Chili

What you need:

2 lbs steak cut into small round pieces15 1/2 oz can beans, rinsed and drained1 medium onion, chopped1 pepper, chopped2 cloves garlic, minced2 (8 oz) cans tomatoes 1 sauce4 1/2 oz can green chiles, drained and chopped28 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained1 chili powder1 t cumin2 T T olive oil1 t salt

What do you do:

In a large skillet, Brown meat in hot oil. Place the meat in the pan. Add the remaining ingredients to crock-pot and mix well. Cook, covered, for 8:0 below.

Meat and sausage Chili

What you need:

3/4 lb bulk spicy Italian sausage3/4 lb ground green pepper, 1 large onion, chopped1 chopped16 oz dried red kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 (28 oz) and 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained15 oz can tomato sauce6 oz can tomato chili powder2 T T paste4 Earth cumin2 garlic, minced1 t salt

What do you do:

Brown beef and sausage in a large skillet, drain. In 6 quart crock pot/slow cooker-Add all ingredients and mix. Cook, covered, for 8-10 hours on low, or until the beans are soft, but not mushy.These recipes are great served with sour cream, cheese and green onion on top. To add more heat, try some peppers or some shakes of hot sauce or some red pepper flakes.Rate this article
